Michael Nelson, SIOR and Mark Nelson, SIOR were hired by a private land owner to extract maximum value from the sale of an 8-acre site in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago’s near south west side.

After launching an aggressive direct marketing strategy to a mix of end users for retail and industrial development the NelsonHill team were able to attract Greyhound through their network of broker relationships. Greyhound were in the process of selling their fleet maintenance facility off Goose Island (also 8-acres) for $50 million (according to sources). Knowing Greyhound were in need of a new fleet maintenance facility as close to downtown Chicago as possible, the NelsonHill team presented the subject property.

After months of negotiations and approvals, NelsonHill were able to achieve a record sale price for industrial land on the south side.
